The most quickly way of communicate is by telephone. But it is really expensive affair nowadays. Therefore many people have mobile phones nowadays. We are never alone and it is cheaper.
Television and radio help people to learn more about the world they live in and this is a good relaxation.
People listen to the radio a lot, especially for music and news. All radios played pop music, there are also radios, which specialized in select music. I listen radio only if ride the car. I prefer listening the cd’s or cassettes.
Many families buy national or local newspaper every day. National dailies are published each morning except Sunday. We buy newspapers only sometimes, because all information what I need are on the teletext or TV. We can also read various magazines. They cover all topics and interests.
In the evening TV set attracts large number of people. It is also an important source of knowledge. TV set completed free time in all families. I watch TV about 3 hours a day, mainly on sports events. When I want to see some film, I use the video recorder or DVD played on PC.
Nowadays the large number of people with personal computers can use the Internet. In 1990 it lost its military connections and everyone could use it. The World Wide Web is now the largest part of the Internet. It has information about everything. Also more and more schools are coming on-line (Internet gives many useful information to students).
